hi
don't know if it can be done but i have a standed height 300tdi disco
with heavy duty springs dislocating cones all-round can i put longer shock absorbers on
i tow a caravan and sankey [not all at the same time]do a lot of off-road driving

:rolleyes:twizzle:)

Longer shocks won't really affect towing so much. Not as much as the springs will have.

If you are increasing travel, you'll need to look at longer brake lines however.

Yes you can fit longer dampers, but you will need extended bump stops and possibly relocated mounts depending on how much you want them to be extended. Obviously as stated you will also need extended brake line. You should be able to fit 2 inch extended dampers with no issue

Plus 2 shocks wont need extended lines or bump stops just the shocks.

And with the shovks being changed then towing wont be affected ive got 2 inch hd springs and shocks with dislocations all round and i tow my 1800kg caravan no trouble what so ever

If yoy're not increasing the ride height then standard shocks will be fine

But longer shocks will give you better articulation without any effect to the on road handling. Iirc m&m 4x4 sell something similar called a super traction kit.

Extended bump stops don't work with standard night springs mine bottomed out.
