how do you know / tell if the shocks are knack't,
the roads are pretty dire around us, the car seems to bounce and every pot hole feels bad through the steering wheel,
tyres right pressure, tracked up to date, car done 100k no leaks passed mot ok, just want replacement shock if knack't, no lift or xtra heavy duty,

just been outside in the rain! oh it bounces!! like a chivers jelly,
got odd of roof bars and rocked it, just rocks, doesn't slow down immediately,
fooked or not?

start spraying the bolts nuts etc now with penertrating fluid especially lower fronts

yeh will do later! gotta take rear bumper off tonight, as a mate is going to remove a dint and respray pass rear quarter/rear light this week, car had dint in when i got it, now winter has gone, getting it done, payment in plastering 2 ceilings!:tea:

Or cut the nut off em off with a recip saw. It's what I allus do 2minutes on each shock and they're off. straight up thru centre of nut. piece of ****.

Might be worth getting noo front turret rings as on fenders and d1's they always snap at least one stud on each of the turret rings.

D2 hasn't gut turret rings its got plastic cone shaped things that you don't need to remove.
Top of damper is reached from inside the engine bay and its only one bolt. Mind you I did the springs at the same time.
