after many years loyal service and pleasure and fun, I have today parted company with my beloved freelander commercial.

I should like to thank every one on the forum for their help and advice over the years.

I am sad. That is all.

thanks for all your kind wishes, I shall stick around of course.

I have had to depart the green oval, and I have replaced it with a Vito van, which I am happy with, but not as happy as with my freelander.

With a certain amount of irony, I bought the Vito because of all the stuff I needed to carry, then within 2 weeks of having it, some little scroat broke in to it and stole most of it, so I no longer needed the bigger van. (deadlocks and alarm now fitted)

Happy freelandering to you all !

Was it a pirate monkey with an eye patch who bought yer Freelander commercial?

you'll miss the old girl !!
maybe the new owner will get that hardtop off once in a while ;);)

OOOH Vito, too rich for my blood! best of health to drive the new wagon, I'm sure it will serve you well and the thieving gypsy incident will long be forgotten in no time.

thanks for the link doug, on my list of things to buy...

as for the insurance discount, nice idea. When I rang them to let the know that I had deadlocks and an alarm fitted now, the very nice lady had to go away and check, then was pleased to tell me in this instance that there would be no additional charge for amending my policy to include a modification from standard !!!
