Hello all.
Yes, another oil question. I've used this brand for the last 3/4 services on mt TD4 2003,
I do @5000mls a year, and wonder how do you know if one oil is better than another?
Would welcome any opinions on this.
Or, the heads up on a oil thats more suited to the TD4 engine.
Cheers all.
Gary

This is quite insightful - once you cut through the yankee-youtuber nonsense:

Shell oil will, theoretically, be near the top of the tree, high grade base oil, and a better additive package, although there is nothing stopping you dosing your oil with molyslip or zx1 or similar.

Take a look at the technical specs for the oil

The VI and calcium phosphorus and Zinc contents are what you should be interested in..

Don't be fooled by the fancy sticker on the bottle.

Just a marketing gimmick in most cases
