Hi Chaps.

I've just completed a 670 mile round trip to pick up a mates TVR with a trailer. While the old girl performed admirably for the most part she really struggled with the longer motorway hills.
At one point I was running on the hard shoulder in 3rd at 25mph on the M2 which was scary to say the least.

I could feel a very slight hesitation when she was under load but she goes like a little rocket normally ie. without the trailer.

On Monday I'll talk to a local Bosch service centre about the injectors. And I'm trying to find a new boost diaphram (anyone know the part number?) so we can strip the pump and replace it as a matter of course.

And I'll replace the fuel filter today.

She has a K&N air filter.

I don't think there is an immediate problem as such. She did the 180 mile run from Gt. Yarmouth to Nottingham at a steady 55mph without hiccup.

But as she is 25yrs old and I've had her for 16 of those years and never touched the fuel side I wondered if I could do anything just refresh things that might be a bit tired now.

Thanks chaps.

As you say Bosch service centre I assume it's a TDi?
Could just be crud in the system, anywhere from the fuel tank to the injectors, and even K & N filters clog up eventually.
Try the easy things before involving "specialists".
