Series three - gearbox issues!

Hi all, looking for advice for either fixing of recommendation for replacement gearbox for Series 3 1975 SWB Petrol. I have two problems: 1) getting low range selection lever to stay in rear position, it stays momentarily then pops forward, i can hold it place and drive is delivered to front prop shaft. I have removed rubber boot etc, no change. 2) as of yesterday it seems I have all but lost 2nd it feels like it's not there, when it does go in it is smooth and quiet. 3rd has starting grinding on the way in and popping out, no prior symptoms! Tempted to look at selector shafts, dedents, etc...any other 'tips'?

It's a recon box I had fitted 3 years ago (by a company now gone bust!), so looking for some advice on above please. I am not a skilled mechanic so if this is poss a major overhaul I'll prob have to look at sourcing a replacement- ANY RECOMMENDATIONS for reliable recon boxes very welcome! Thanks all.

There's a place near Basingstoke called BK Transmissions. They should be able to sort you out. I recommend them.

Thanks for the recommendation! I have had the dedents all out and had a good fiddle, all seems as it should. reassembled and quick drive - problem with second and third persisting, all very odd.
