Does anyone know if series hardtop sides (with sliding windows), locking hubs, and doors will fit a defender 90?

no, no, yes (but you'll need to swap the striker plate too).

I don't think they will. I believe the series is an 88inch. Hopefully somebody else can confirm this.

Cheers mates. one other thing. If you had to choose between diesels: a 2.25 and a 2.5NA with parts availability, cost, dependability... which would you choose? I have a chance at a 1987 defender diesel x-mod or a 1974 sIII.

series 2 2a and 3 swb were all 88inch but swb series ones were 87 from memory not completly sure on the series ones tho

try 80,86 an 88 inch for ya series one

i knew sumbody wud be kind enuf 2 add the series one ones i missed out thanks

Buy a 109 and pop in a 200tdi engine.
