I am restoring a 1967 Series 3 and about to install the rear wiring harness. The multiway connector at the front has 6 wires, 4 of them go to the rear lights for side, brake, lh indicator, rh indicator and 2 branch off near the front. The 2 that branch off are Green/Black and White/Green. The Green/Black is the fuel sender, anyone know what the other wire is for?

Well yes its a 2a I suppose, but its got more 3 bits on it than 2a I think. The electrics seem all series 3. Has alternater and ignition switch etc from series 3.

according to the series 3 wiring diagram i have the white/green goes to the sender too.which it obviously doesn't 'cos i've just gone and had a look and only the green/black does, this is why i'm ****e at wiring!

having consulted all the wiring diagrams that i have i think the green/white is for the right hand indicators.but don't take that as gospel 'cos i really am very bad at wiring.

Sure, there is a green/white that is the right hand indicator, but there is also another wire that looks like its a white/green that is branching out at the front of the rear harness as well.
