First post in ages!! Finally started to put back together my series 3 as I've painted my galv chassis and bulkhead. I've been reading a few bits online about stainless steel nuts and bolts and I'm slightly confused now as to whether I should be using them or not. Its my first rebuilt so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.
I get that stainless shouldn't be used for heavy load bearing bolts however from what I've been reading I need to watch putting them next to galv items as it can eat away at the galvanising. Can anyone confirm from their experience if this is actually the case? I thought using stainless bolts would be the simple solution to save rusting in years to come?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (apologies for the poor title... did try to amend it however cant a[[ear to delete or amend the title)
