Cant see the point in ringing that as its not tax exempt or owt

Good though, you cant see the join in the chassis:D (actually you can)

So if mine was on eBay, would mine come under suspicion too?
I have the build receipts from 1997, it's a 100 inch Rangrover chassis, 1997 Defender wiring loom, body panels, the only thing left from the original Landrover 109 which is registration plates are from is the log book and the rear tub, and even that was cut down, everything else is bits and pieces from other Landrovers. But I suppose even when I bought it, it was not advertised as a Defender, just as a 100 inch Hybrid.
Just curios and a little paranoid about the way people start foaming at the mouth about "hybrids", mine became tax exempt from April, but I never bought it to be tax except, that just happened, so I don't believe anyone built it in 1997 to try to dodge the tax

that's a really smart truck mate looks really good !

im not foaming at the mouth I couldent care less what other people do and if its legal or not to be honest, especially when it comes to tax , if you can dodge it then good on you as we all pay enough of it anyway :)

on the legal side you haven't mentioned engine or axles but if when it was built it was from the RR then that's the identity it should have taken I think?

I do think it would be looked at with a stern eye on ebay especially as its tax exempt

It's all RangeRover V8 carb classic running gear, the whole lot except the gearbox which is LT77, I think I read somewhere that before the rule change you could retain the old number plate and VIN tag, which is what mine has, and its recorded in the invoice from a LandRover garage in Warwick that they disposed of the old chassis.
Having a 100 inch hybrid is ok, but getting parts to fit is a real pain, as you have to work out what year each part is.
I'm not wanting to sell it, I like the old thing, strange thing is people are always asking if I want to sell it.

im not sure about before the rule change but I think that's the current law , although its all bull****e anyway cos its say the " original unmodified chassis " is required to keep the donors id , in your case a rangie , to fit the body it has to be modified so that particular law is useless lol

I know what you mean about spare parts have owned and built a few myself , my 90 has bits ranging from the 80's to 2010 on it !

im not surprised you don't want to sell , id buy it in an instant :)

Thanks, I reprinted it over Christmas and gave it a revamp all over, I've just finished painting the chassis in grey, and will get all the running gear painted once I have poly bushed everything.
