Looking to upgrade my Series 2a to parabolic springs.

Can anybody list the pros and cons? Also could anybody recommend where best to get a set and which shock absorbers?

I've heard so many opinions on which ones are best etc.. I'm finding it hard to know what to think.

GB or Rocky Mountain. OME shocks or Delphi. Job done

I'm not sure what make mine are but they've sagged a bit so I'll be replacing them with RM springs when I can afford to as well as their ally door tops

Go with GB springs if you really must have Paras. I myself am happy with standard springs, they took a while to get supple as follows. Jack up on chassis to let springs fully relax, clean with wire brush and maybe bash em with a hammer if really rusty, spray with oil/paraffin. Drive around for a week and do em again. Drive around for a week and then jack again on the chassis and use spray grease with a nozzle tube to get in between leaves. Drive around and repeat a couple of times then do every 10/12 weeks with grease. Total cost about £6 for grease. Mine lifted about an inch or more and rides well.

I personally can't fault gb springs, mine have been on for knocking on 9 years and are still going strong and I used pro comp shocks and the rears are still on!(fronts got changed for longer ones)

Pros - don't need any maintainence at all apart from bushes when they go
Softer ride
Better articulation
Lighter due to less leafs

Cons - expensive
Cant carry as much weight due to the softer springs
Can't think of anything else :)
