Freelander 1 Sender unit

hi all has anybody had the sender unit out of the fuel tank on a 2006 td4 and put it back ok as I can not seem to get it back ok any help please

It is expensive. However unless you are an octopus, it's the easiest way to fit the locking ring.

I think it is the seal stopping it so I will put the seal on the tank first as advised , I do have the special tool and it is great for undoing the big nut

well I had a go to day and put the rubber seal on the top of the tank and the sender unit after worked fine and tightened the securing ring with the special tool and job is a good one A big thanks all but why o why did I not read the Haynes Manuel it is in there well that old age for you.
