Selling a private plate

Im scrapping a 90 with a private plate on it
Is there sites which buy plates or anything or a site on how to de register the plate so when i scrap it the plate isnt gone forever

You can contact the DVLA and put the plates on retention.Then it's up to you if you sell them private or to a reg plate firm.

If you're going to stick a private plate on retention the vehicle it comes off has to have a valid m.o.t

But the reg plate has nothing to do with the MOT and if it's on retention the plate relates to NO vehicle until it's registered to a different vehicle Shirley:frusty:

Ahh
no the landy has no mot as it's a major MOT failure as i bought it for spares and it has a private number plate already on

What's the plate and what could it be worth. Maybe worth putting the chassis and V5 on ebay and let some mug deal wiv it, eh?
