P38A Seats!

How can a stat be normally open with just two contact's? How does the heat close the thermostat if it can't pass electric through it? There are only two terminals and I did check the metal cap when doing the continuity..

Normally open stat is more like something used for a fan controller - so the contacts are open until 65 degrees (in your case) and then it will close and connect the circuit (to turn a cooling fan on for example).

The heated seats, as mentioned need a Normally Closed thermostat so the contacts are closed until the set temp (65 degrees in your case) and then the contacts open to break the circuit.

I have 55 degree ones on my website (though I'm away working at the moment), but the dual heat seats that were mentioned are aftermarket seat heater pads which are dual temp. They don't have a thermostat as such - but rather a changeover relay to connect the heater pads in either series or parallel (so each pad either gets 6V or the full 12V on high).

Checked the invoice and made a balls of it. N/O thermostats I'd what I ordered....what an idiot.

Easy when you know or think about it. Shows how spoilt we are by standardisation in Europe.
