bought one.... superb bit of kit, thousand times better than the venturi operated ones that try n draw wax up into the air flow... the sealey one youve listed isnt cheap but mists superbly and the add ons make precision work a doddle

paid £69 on ebay with 24hr delivery

cheers steve

does a very good even job, i also bought a big bag of dinitrol 10mm plugs and drilled the chassis at 10" intervals all over to completely do the interior, easy to remove n top up in years to come

I used those plugs on my Disco,s doors and pillars. Didn't think to use them on the chassis but will this time. Thanks for the tip.

Has your chassis in the photos got waxoil on? Or is that it painted?

ive stripped to bare metal, undercoated in temaprime, 6 coats of hammerite and then waxoyld in and out... so in short what u see is the waxoyl finish from the sealey gun, used just over 20 litres in total

cheers steve

I've been using a gun borrowed from a friend that he "liberated" from a place he used to work. Priced it on line and it was approx £260. Trying to remember the make of it now. It didnt put waxoil on anyway near as tidy as yours mate. Cheers.:)

Interesting to see those plugs in use, I was admiring them only the other day on the dinitrol website. I remember the ziebart rust peeps used to have them with Zs embossed on em. I have always used little blobs of epoxy putty but the plugs would make a better job of it.
Lokks like youre doing a thorough and tidy job there, mate. Personally I favur dinitrol over waxo. and black enamel to hammerite but the principles are the same. Good work, sir!:)

the hammerite was a cancelled export order stuck on ebay, came in german labelled tins but was cheap otherwise black enamel it would have been :) but being a tight arse hammerite it was... would never pay full asking price though its a tad steep.... :)

Always the way, aint it? Found it on ebay after the event as well for £69 + £4 odd delivery.

Thanks Stevie for your feedback. I'm looking forward to using it now......well "looking forward" might not be quite right, considering the state I'm goin to get into.

waiting for this one to turn up. same price off ebay.

also got 2 tins of Dinitrol ML3125 and 2 tins of Dinitrol 4941. Should be good!

Im thinking the ML3125 goes inside the bulkhead cavaties and the 4941 goes externally on chassis and wheelarches etc?

I was watching this, but wasn't sure about availability of a longer flexi hose to get inside the chassis. Looks a good piece of kit though!!!

thats looks like a venturi gun.... theres a good reason its £15...... you'd be dissapointed if it is

works by the jet of air blowing through the top and 'sucking' the medium up.... got a schutz one myself..... hence buying the sealy pressurised one to do a decent job instead ;)

cheers steve

bloody hell.. take that back lloks like a schutz but clearly not?? who on earth bought that new :0

cheers steve

Might bid on it now I know what its worth.....might have let the cat out the bag a wee bit though posting it up here..:D

mine turned up this morning. nice bit of kit. waiting on some dinitrol ML and ill be trying it out on saturday :D
