air filter - K&N or standard??

Hi there,

have bought a 300tdi service kit which includes an air filter so went to check how to change it today and found its got a K&N already, which probably needs a clean anyway , so not sure whether to stick with it or put the stock one back in. as far as i can tell everything on the engine is stock but would putting the standard in make it choked etc.

thoughts on best to run.

Not a fan of K&N filters, they only breath better when clean and to do that need cleaning often, trouble is this just does not happen. Simple just to swap out the standard paper one.

Std all day every day, cheap as chips so replace annually.

Change from standard to a britpart performance filter ,notice a difference on the plus side seemed more responsive, does have a alisports intercooler & fuel pump tweaked to suit thou
