Scrapping my disco?

Just get it ****ed off and get one bought that's not full of rust!

Nothing is worse than rust repairs so getting a good body is the main purpose here!!

Our M reg 300 for instance has a few patches in the boot floor and a bit of scabby front arches and that's it, for some reason it just hasn't rusted.

Passes mot no issues with bodywork. Gave a grand for it 18 months ago, has been a great purchase!

Therefore it is possible, but I fully recommend buying as simple a version as possible!

That's the plan now mate. I've just seen one in autotrader that's sounds ok but need to dispose of this on first to free up some space. The fact I want everything yesterday, is it a male thing or just me?!

For 6 months now I've been planning on completely stripping all the rusty bits off my 200tdi disco and rebuilding it. Now I've run in to a few issues which is making me think I'll be better off scrapping it and starting again with another disco that doesn't need as much work done or at least has an mot to see me through winter.

With mine all in at the moment I'm thinking I need to spend £1200 ish, which I don't have. The place I was going to be doing the work has fallen through too so it's impossible for me to do at the side of a main road.

My question being.........how much will I get for A. scrapping it or B. breaking it? I was thinking if I can get £500 for it, then add £700 of my own money I can hopefully buy a better nick disco with at least 6 months mot. I'll keep wheels/tires, lights, snorkel and other added bits to go on the new one and get rid of the rest.

Your thoughts please...........

if you scrap it just fill it with as much scrap metal you can lay your hands on ;) all helps
