Having finally got myself a discovery I will be heading up and around Scotland between the 14th and 18th of July hopefully wild camping and seeing lots of nature. Ideally I would like to fit in:
a good hike or two
a spot of fishing and lake side camping
as many night wild camping as possible but might b&b on the Wednesday
some gentle off roading or drives with nice views
a tour of a distillery
Loch Ness if we can make it that far in the time we have

Just looking for some advice really - I have read other threads but just thought I'd get the most up to date advice.

Ill be heading up from liverpool either 1900 on Sunday or 1200 Monday, straight to Edinburgh to pick up some friends. Probably spend some time around Edinburgh Monday seeing as we are there anyway, then head off into the wild Monday afternoon.

The plan was to head up from Edinburgh along the East coast to Aberdeen, then across to Keith, Aviemore, Inverness, Fort William, Loch Lomond and finish up in Edinburgh again.

Alternatively Edinburgh to Perth, Pitlochry, Aviemore, Inverness, Fort William, Loch Lomond and ending in Edinburgh.

Any thoughts, suggestions, diversions etc please let me know.

Also - will need to drop my friends at a train station so they can get back to Edinburgh for Wed mid day if anyone can suggest a station that sits about halfway along my route.

Any suggestions of places to camp that i can get the discovery close to would be appreciated - and does anyone recommend a particular distillery for a tour?

Thanks all, Ill update with my progress while Im away for those interested.
Ben
