Salisbury plains

Hi all was thinking about going up Salisbury plains with my rangie and a couple others but never been there before.How do you get maps of which lanes you can drive etc and is it open to the public i.e all year round as i know its military ground. Any info would be great cheers chaps.

keep an eye on the off roading section sure someone will will put a post up about a trip there

Maybe a you need a MAN FROM WILTSHIRE LOCAL TO SALISBURY That knows the area well ??? OR A STEWIE can show you one day.

Wlm are you offering to guide? Defo interested if we can get a few peeps together. The only problem I have is my rangie runs purely on lpg so hoping theres an lpg station local to salisbury!

I think Waitrose petty station in Salisbury does LPG?

Google tells me you have a choice in fact LPG and AutoGas fuel stations in Wiltshire on a map

Excellant cheers torch1 might take a trip over there first to make sure as dont fancy getting stranded on the plains. Cant exactly walk and fill a gerri can with lpg :

Yepp but cant do this weekend as im working on me disco, and nxt sunday were doin a pay n play in romsey if u wanna come along.

So the nxt weekend i can do on the plains is sunday 25th

I think the garage at the bottom of my road does lpg will check for ya

Hi, looking at going this sat, got an OS and a GPS. Not been up there before to do the lanes, but I know what look out for and what not too do!
