I have my reasons for not owning one. I'm from Solihull and know a couple of people who work at the factory. I've been round the jungle track, and my parents wedding car was a series 1 that my uncle still owns.

However, with £2,500 budget, and a fear of rust, I ended up with my 50,000 mile 52 plate jimny. I'd like a landrover, but only if I was more mechanically minded, or richer.

And besides, the Jimny does me proud. I like suprising people with it.

I have to say, it certainly did you proud, very proud, only getting slightly stuck once! What a great little machine!! Still not sure I would swap the landy for one, but might get one as well as the Landy?? Lol!:rolleyes: What can I say... you can never have to many cars!! Looking forward to you bringing it out again!!

Hey!

Looks like you had a good run together :D
with snow and ice looks like the ice caused a few problems!

Do any of you cover your radiators to keep the fins clean and the heater hot?

I coming down on the 30th with muddy wheeler and a couple of others for another trip around it takes us 3 hours to get down there, did you go bulford camp side?

in fairness - mine was my own recklessness (and stupidity) :rolleyes:

must say the same as just had the bill for the tyre repair :mad:
ripped the valve off the tube cost me £20 new tube and re-balancing
oh well lesson learnt dont go mad in ice flows (or get some valve gaurds welded onto the rims ) might well do that anyway (another job to add to the summer list )

On the video of us doing a bypass as the ford, I got the following comment;

you ****ing prats, you cant just drive off a byway and through a river like that, they will downgrade that lane back to a bridleway and balls it up for the rest of us, that lane is perfectly driveable straight on through, i have driven it myself this week, dont give them any ammunition against us

I was at the back of the group at this point, and assumed that as everyone went round, and the leader had told us not to go off piste anywhere, that there was a good reason for the detour. Was there? I've taken the video down temporarily, and will delete it if we had no reason to go through the river.

having just seen the vid posted by Conner - int that a good way to bust a halfshaft - revving the motor until it gets grip?

I aint having a pop - just asking.

I wouldn't worry about it mate. If we did something wrong then, oops sorry, we'll know next time, can't do anything about it now!
