The lining under the sunroof is like Norah Batties tights:(

All wrinkled and sagging - I can't use the sunroof as it just drags the material.........I have just tucked it in for now.

Has anyone managed to permanently fix this problem and get it looking good and functional again?????????? If so please let me know how.

Cheers,

Al.

Sorry mate, it's a change it job. I've never known headlinings get stuck back successfully, old Jaguars do the same, same result

I have the same problem. It was sagging on my head, and I couldn't open or close it.

Take a Stanley knife to it and cut it off around the edge. It should be black plastic underneath and won't look so back whilst you decide what to do next.

To get it out you have to take the sunroof glass out and then the blind (from above the car), then you can just stick some material to it and put it back. I intend to use some automotive roof lining material on it once I can be arsed. You can get foam backed stuff so it'll look and feel nice.

Once last thing, if you do cut the material and foam away, careful how you close it. It'll move very easily and if you're not careful you'll close it with a bang and snap the plastic
"bump stops" clean off and you'll have to either live with it "over closing" or replace the expensive plastic bits of the mechanism.

Thanks each........

I didn't think that it would be such a big job / problem:(

Taking the whole thing out from above the car isn't something to look forward to.......I can see me doing more harm to it!

Just got her really nice.......running sweet, new EAS bags, Bodywork etc etc........(to sell her) and now this........ I don't think she wants to leave me!
