The people who can afford the new breed of vehicle will obviously be so rich and ignorant that they won't realise how terrible their new vehicle realy is !!!
Ever heard of any new vehicle that's as good as the older versions !!!
Wouldn't have one as a gift !!!!!!
I work on modern **** and it makes me laugh how much we can charge these posh arrogant ****s!!!!! Thank The Lord for ignorance and wealth !!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure Land Rover could scout around for a Puma replacement, it's not as if diesel vehicles are going to be outlawed (I hope!).

You stop making something when the market disappears or it becomes illegal or unprofitable. I suspect crash legislation is the problem: Defenders don't really have crumple zones.

I also suspect the accountants and market research team at Solihull have spent the last few years working out the best solution, whether that's Disco-lite or Defender II / DC100.

We'll have to wait and see! But if the market's still there, Land Rover will be as well.

I think a petition to landrover/jaguar! I'm sure if someone(who knows how to use a computer) created a petition and got it on social media sites in Ernest, we could get a bit of a voice going they may have to listen to!

why should they? market research shows there are insufficient sales to make it cost effective. a few hardened enthusiasts wont keep it alive. lets face it, when did we all buy a new one?

The only way they could make it more cost effective is if they stopped hand building them and went with normal production techniques but then it wouldn't be the same vehicle at all

How would we ever rebuild them if robots got involved just think 3 hr to change a head light bulb because would have to remove the bumper but to do that you must remove the inner wheel arch oh that's Renault lol

#### tell me about it, I had one of them and it was a bloody nightmare. I still think of that as a good car even though it broke more often than my punto . ECU failed and timing belt snapped, cost me a fortune to get sorted when I should have just punted it.

who owns landrover some goat shagging savage from pakistan ??
and he was given it for a £1 by cameron and his idiots who thought it was a very plesant thing to do.

Am currently waiting for my 'save the defender e-petition' approval prob won't get anywhere will post a link soon fingers crossed :)

The latest that I have heard is that the new one won't be on the T5 chassis after all, they want to cease production of all separate chassis
So it could well be an aluminum monocoque.

Never happen sad to say...

Yes well, it's always worth a try, if everyone always rolls over and says it will never happen then there's never a chance is there, and change is easy for them. At least if you try it makes people think a bit more. Yes ok it might be a pipe dream. But people are to lazy to resist these things
