Hi all.
I'm about to buy one RR '97 2.5 DSE.
Can anyone advise me on eventual problems on this model?
Is there any known problem in particulary I should look (motor, gearbox, electrics, etc)?
Thanks a lot.
Ricardo.

hi i bought a 97 rr dse with 136,000miles n the diesel pump went it turned over for ages b4 it started RR tell me they r only good 4 100,000 it cost 1700 to recon hope this helps TONY

I'd check all switches work and put the vehicle under high load (uphill and slow speed), see the problems i had with overheating in the forum, as it can be expensive to repair just about anything on the engine...

i have a 96 DT with 130k miles. any car costs money to run, fact of life. I had a volvo T5 before my rangey, and that was more expensive to run. all i would say, try and find a local garage, dont goto a LR main dealer if you can help it, cos they probably know less but charge 5 times the price. If you can find a local garage who have ex-land rover mechanics then your onto a winner (like me! :) )

lol no offence m8, but you know what im saying. LR like any main dealer is a total rip off. some main dealer mechanics seem to just replace parts for the sake of it, which jacks up the bill. were not all company car owners who can throw money at it.
