roof bars to fit freelander with no rails

Hi

I have a Freelander td4 5 door (06 plate mk1) with no roof rails. Rather than go to the expense of buying roof rails, then buying roof bars for the roof is there a simpler option like a Thule fix point system that fits direct to your roof without already having the bars?

Hope that makes sense.

I had a look at the Thule site but the only ones i could see were for the new Freelander 2 (07 onwards)

yes they did do a roof rack that fitted without the bars but very expensive and it is a full one I made my own but afterwards I regret it as I should have made one without the bars
