Roof rail kits - non-LR

Morning all

My son has purchased a Freelander 2 with a panoramic roof but it doesn’t have roof rails. No-one seems to have the genuine LR parts in stock and have been told they’re no longer in manufacture. Can anyone recommend a good quality non-LR alternative kit ? Loads on eBay but I suspect may be poor quality

From what I've seen of new Ebay roof rails, you're better off finding some second hand LR ones. The cheap stuff is low quality, with fittings that don't fit correctly, which results in wind noise, plastic end caps coming off and heaven forbid what would happen to it in the unfortunate event of a crash.
Definitely best avoided, especially if they're actually going to be used to carry stuff.

Mine didn't have rails, so I just bought some clamp mounted roof bars for mine, as I seldom need to put items on the roof.

May I ask which bars you went for - seems like that’s what I’ll have to do

I used Thule. I already had the bars, so just needed the correct feet to fit the Freelander 2.
