Afternoon all,
I’m having a bit of nightmare finding the correct roof rack feet for my Freelander 2.

Currently my freelander 2 does not Have roof rails and I want to fit my roof rack for my roof box.

I have a set of Thule exodus roof bars but the fitting feet are not compatible with the freelander 2. I have checked with Halfords and they are no help.

I am happy to buy a complete new kit but I can’t find the one for use without roof rails.

Any help would be gratefully received.

kind Regards

scott

Most FL2 owners use roof rails to fit a roof rack or bars. I have seen some cars with a setup where they seem to 'secure' onto the body at the top of the door access either side, but don't know if they're pukka or not. I suspect they're sold for other vehicles and just happen to fit a FL2. I would not use such a system myself, or risk somefink not built right for the job. Could be a cheap import. Stuff on the roof is under a lot if pressure from wind when travelling. Seem a number of roof boxes at the side of the motorway over the years. Some abandoned and some with owners looking upset.

Link below to the genuine lr part codes for rails and bars. This may help you in yer quest to find what yer need.

Roof rails bolt into the threaded holes under the plastic strip in the roof.
