Roll Cage - Bolted or fully welded

I'm going to put a roll cage on my 90 hardback, looking at either fully welded ie. Whitbread or bolted together ie P & P. I can see advantages and disadvantages either way but thought as people on here may have either cage I'd ask some other views.
At the moment I'm here:
Welded - Advantages - looks good, presumably stronger.
Disadvantages - more difficult to fit due to one piece, not sure on the way the whitbread one passes through the wings, looks like you would have to remove the cage to get a wing off.
Bolted - Advantages - Easier fitment, splits at front wing mounting point, so no having to take it all off.
Disadvantages - prefer the welded look ie. no bolts everywhere.
If youve got either fitted, what are your views.
 
I have a welded cage fitted to my 90 pickup, have you checked with your insurance if they will insure you with it on as we found it wasn't so had to change to adrian flux. the cage also seems to increase the road noise a fair bit but other than that its good. Whitbread look a good fitter, i went to a place in Darby but he go welding spatter or grinding sparks on the windows so I'm not impressed.

Depends what you intend to do with your cage!

If you are competing it must be fully welded as per MSA regs, coz a bolted together might look the dogs, but if you go over at speed the bolts and/or brackets may be likely to shear!

However, if you are doing a bit of on-road posing and want something to hang your lamps on, the meccano version would be OK!
