anyone got a rivinut tool ? what kind is it- is it any good.

seen the sealey one for about 60 quid - it any cope?

got some m8s to set in my bulkhead and i need to do 2 m6s in my bike frame - i previously tried fitting these the old fashioned bolt with a bit of steel and 2 nuts ....that i usually do .... it failed to get it tight enough :(

We have a set of these at the factory, M6 up to M12, but the kit is best part of £500 to buy.

The cheaper ones are OK for occasional use, we have a small kit that does M4 to M6 but it isn't that strong.

Where are you located? Maybe someone near to you has one?

Ive got a couple similar to the one biggee posted. Done several hundred rivnuts with them and still going strong.

Tightness is also a function of hole size and the knurling on the rivnut. Buy good quality rivnuts, not whatever's cheapest on ebay .. :)

ive done loads that way over the years - i feel im doing enough i can justfy the tool for future :D

you might be right about that paulD - the frame was thin wall ti tubing ..... it previously had a rivinut in the location just that it worked loose then fell out :( might have to size up to the next size.
