will just have to listen out for the pipe collapsing..

tried to fit the old airbox but cant see how it will fit! will have to study your photo again oil dripper.

also, if anyone else is wanting to do the swap.. i strongly recommend swapping the flywheel housing over (make sure you change the crank oil seal tho, and hopefuly it wont leak!) it was so easy, and didnt have to mess about tapping holes or anything!

Top banana! I'd do the same and swap out the Turdodiesel but wifey won't let me, she'd rather I got another 'tank car' thats already been done so she doesn't have the 'mess' (dead disco) on the drive. All I got to do is pay for it. Something wrong there I thinks?

Or just buy one already done you Tight Git!

Edit: rear crank oil seal isn't leaking, it was the old fuel filter, changed today - dry as a bone! It was dripping down onto the flywheel housing and running round.

Pic would be good if poss mate! I'm in abit of a rush as I have nothing! Cheapest universal one is 28 quid in halfrauds.. Alot to spend as a temp measure!

I might do abit of pump tweaking after iv made sure the engine is good! I do alot of miles tho, so not sure on the mpg side of things!
Defender 50th V8 nas air box with filter & sensor | eBay
was one of these with the long end cut off to suit pipe size...and also the other end was cut and adapted.....Then a round clamp was made that held the box in the middle then bolted to the engine where the aircon bits would normaly go...have been raiding my pix but cant help sorry...:D

The original seems miles off on mine! Will have to have another play around.

Anyone else find that the exhaust turbo elbow hits the footwell..? I knew they were close but can hear mine tapping at the right revs now..

Good work mate, looks really neat.

My downpipe is close to the footwell, but doesn't touch. Landies being hand built as they are, each one is going to be slightly different.

This is how my airfilter is situated, pics aren't much good but you should get the idea;

That looks pretty neat, have you used the td air box? Not sure if mine had that right angle on top..

Think il have to work something out to stop the exhaust tapping the footwell!

Nope that's the one from the Disco, hence the angled bit on top.

Where's your cyclone breather Langers?

I had just put filter back in after that pic, normally it attaches to the filter, on the underneath of the plastic elbow.
