What a bloody amazing thing the 200tdi from td swap is! Did it over last weekend and it went nice and smoothly! Didn't even have to extend oil pipes!! Got lucky there.
Amazing power difference, when I first bought it I was surprised how much poke the td had.. And now this! Almost beat an Audi tt onto the motorway today, he just got me with top speed. And so far I have done 70 miles on £10 compared to 20 miles with the td! I have been booting it quite abit too! My clutch is now lovely and soft and smooth compared to the graunchy stiff old one!

Only 2 niggles, the exhaust turbo elbow is scarily close to the footwell.. And I think my bastard brand new rear crank oil seal is leaking! Must have twisted abit on it's way in :-( but I suppose i did get away with using my oil pipes. And I didn't recieve my heat proof sound insulation in time to put that in.. So I suppose it's not all bad.

Just had to share my amazement at the difference!

On their way! Oh and I am currently down an air filter.. Need to sort that ASAP. Might have to get a universal one for now till I can get a disco airbox..

Also steering is loads lighter, and brakes a million times stronger! Guess the vac pump and pas pump were going on the td!

I remember on one of the conversions we did years ago using an airfilter from a V8 rangie and hacking off the long spout on one end...Then making a bracket to hold it where the aircon pump would get bolted too.....probably sounds gibberish and ill try find a pic...

Pic would be good if poss mate! I'm in abit of a rush as I have nothing! Cheapest universal one is 28 quid in halfrauds.. Alot to spend as a temp measure!

I might do abit of pump tweaking after iv made sure the engine is good! I do alot of miles tho, so not sure on the mpg side of things!

Top banana! I'd do the same and swap out the Turdodiesel but wifey won't let me, she'd rather I got another 'tank car' thats already been done so she doesn't have the 'mess' (dead disco) on the drive. All I got to do is pay for it. Something wrong there I thinks?
