Hi there, just joined having followed some very usefull threads over the past year, so maybe someone can help me. On my 2003 Disco2 TD5 some time ago rear drivers airspring would deflate usually overnight and pump up again the next morning after starting engine and may stay up for a few days then take a dive again. On examination of the bag it looked o.k. and tried the soapy water test but was o.k. when I then noticed the sensor was shot. I convinced myself at the time that this was my problem and I changed both sensors as the other one looked very bad as well and it was only then I noticed after both were replaced ,the passenger side pumps up about 2cm more than the drivers side . Was it like that before I changed the sensors, I don't know because I wasn't as vigilant.

So was wondering is this 2 cm height difference a problem and the rhs spring then continued to periodically drop so proceeded then to change it at the weekend and was full sure the height difference would disappear but it still remains. My guess is that it's the sensors (brand new) and am wondering if I could in fact remove it and wind it up or down instead of leaving it in to a dealer for calibration and getting fleeced..so back to my earlier question ...should a 2 cm difference cause any problems???

not if you fit coils ,of course any difference wont be ngood especially on tall vehicle, get sensors calibrated, sensor is only a variable resistor

yes, get it calibrated or get a Nanocom or similar and do it yourself. I did mine last year. New airbag and sensor, Nanocom, job done. Get it done quick- mine blew the passenger side up about 6 inches too high. Lucky it didn't pop. It's not worth the risk of it failing on you at speed somewhere.

I bought mine new and it's paid for itself easily:

Calibrated Ride height
Identified& cleared ACE problems - fixed with new pressure sensor
Eased my mind when engine was running badly - just needed a new injector loom
I thought I had turbo/ EGR problems/poor performance - I didn't

They do pop up on eBay but if you buy new you get a login with the nanocom website to download updates to the Nanocom device and PC Software.

I don't work for them, by the way, I'm just pleased with mine.

One idea - why not post a new topic on the forum asking if anyone is near to you with a Nanocom who could help you? They aren't tied to a particular vehicle like some devices. A short journey, an hour and you could be sorted!

I'm in Lancashire, by the way. Happy to help if you can get to me.

Thanks I'm in Dublin if anyone near me has one (Nanocom)they would like to sell, but now today I've got worse problems with a major ACE leak so will post a new thread as I read conflicting stories in various forums about the infamous ACE system..
