Have any of you folks changed the RF receiver on your P38 and still have the old one lying around.
I am not looking for the updated one, the original type would be fine as long as it works and puts the signal out.

It's for a project I have had on the go for some time now.

If you have one, PM me the price etc.

Hi guys, I'm stuck for one too!
I've been going around for over a month now manually locking the door since my RF receiver packed up so anyone is beter than no one! There hasn't even been one on ebay new or old boxed!

Hi Derek, yes still have the old gal - she stands quietly on the driveway these days as I use the X5 most of the time and I'm working away on a contract at present so haven't had the opportunity to organise ads and photos and getting the private plate off and all that, before selling her. :rolleyes:Plus, I'm quite fond of her really :cool:and in no real hurry to lose her now all the works been done!!- we've spent thousands of miles in oneanother's company, mostly happy ones, with an occasional expensive interlude......:)

There are lots of Rangie bits at home, including the rare-as-hen's-teeth P38 Winchmount and a Warn 9000 Winch that Kernowdragon and lots of others are quite keen on; when I'm off for a few days and back home I'll have a rummage around and collect up all the bits I could give away via the forum, or sell.......including the original RF receiver. The newest version is about £100 at the main stealers, SpudH:D

Yeah,

I just finished installing a winch on mine but I'd have loved to have had that Warn 9000 rather than the chinese piece of crap I fitted. I'm not crazy about what the genuine winch mount does for the approach angle but the warn is a top winch.

I'll get some pics of the winch and the winch mount when I'm home and able to rootle them out  The mount is brand new and still in original Land Rover packaging with some fitting instructions from what I remember- I bought it for my P38 but never fitted it as I didn't want to carve up the front bumper:eek:.

The Warn 9000 is apparently the winch Land Rover intended to be fitted to the mount, so it fits perfectly. Hasn't seen much use, but has been stored for years so needs a respool - has the original winch wire rope fitted - and probably a service, but is to my knowledge really sound - I've owned it from brand new and its never been abused or worked very hard, it was fitted to my 1995 Nissan Patrol and I tugged us out of a few tricky spots with it back in Africa in the late 1990's, other than that its just travelled home with me when I had our belongings shipped out when we came back to Blighty .

Could never bring myself to mess up the good looks of my Rangie with the winch!! I've also got a Thomas compressor fitted underneath the bonnet in the engine bay to pump up the tyres (or beach balls / lilos/ inflatable boats etc!! ) but will probably leave that for the lucky buyer of the old girl some day. :D

I added lots of upgrades and toys, thats why I'm reluctant to sell her!!!:):):) Watch this space though, I'll have to sell up as there isn't enough room on the driveway for all the old cars when I return home for good from this contract someday.:eek:
