Hi, my 1999 P38 front windshield wiper liquid is not spraying when I press the button on the arm. The rear one works. There's no motor sound when I press the button for the front. There seemed to be 3 motor pumps underneath the car, one of them (presumably the rear one) measured 12V, the others have no voltage. Fuses are fine. Should I change the pump or check something else? Thanks yall.

Rear, front and headlamp washer pumps.
If there is no voltage then changing the pump won't help.
How are you checking for voltage?

We did check the fuse box under the bonnet and the fuse pointing to the front wiper system seemed ok. Didn't see a symbol for a relay anywhere.
I'd have to look at RAVE, but I suspect there must be a relay as the contact in the stalk is not man enough for the job. I also think the BECM is involved. I'll check later when I fire up my office computer.
Edit, the front washer pump is driven from the BECM so look for corroded connectors.
There will of course only be voltage present at the pump when the washer button is pressed.

Front & rear pumps are driven driectly by BECM. Headlamp wash is linked to the headlamp wiper control.

Nanocom also has Input status and ouput control for wash, so you can easily check if it's the Stalk, BECM Output, Motor or wiring.

We did measure the voltage whilst pressing the washer button, which showed 0. I went to check the inputs with Nanocom and it seemed fine? I'll attach pics. In outputs I went to Washwipes > Front windscreen wash > pressed "ON" and nothing happened.

The only BECM fault code it gives is in the outstation memory fault section - "the outstation fault code memory has detected no communications with the following outstations: left hand memory seat". Don't think this is related to my washer problem though.

The BECM does not produce fault codes for things like wash wipe that I'm aware of.
It could be a wiring fault, a corroded connector at the BECM or an internal fault on the BECM. I assume that you have checked all relevant fuses?

The BECM Menu on Nanocom simply tells you if the buttons are working. As said above check the voltage at BECM outputs.
