I have a Chinese DAB USB Android dongle connected up to an amplified roof aerial.

The reception is rubbish but it was cheap as an experiment. If I go to the highest spot on Exmoor it works perfectly !

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good make / model?

No one seems to provide RF sensitivity figures with these devices, only functionality. It is, after all, a radio receiver.

Thanks..

Have you tried other DAB radio in the same area? In my experience DAB in the SW is pretty rubbish. The wife's Audi looses signal all the time between here and the SE.

I tried various antennas, but ended up fitting one of these from Amazon. Rock solid reception using a Joying Android stereo in my Wife's FL1 facelift. Installed in same place as original antenna, but I did need to enlarge the roof hole slightly. Also used some RTV around the rubber seal just in case !!

Thanks both.

I used an aerial like the above on my other FL1 with a Kenwood DAB and found it to be not as good as an amplifier converter on the original aerial.

My Kenwood with the above is fine on DAB so I think the cheap USB box is a bit deaf.

You can pay more, but are they better ??

Anyone got a good one and live in a DAB fringe reception area ??

The "Eightwood" linked above is much better than other DAB antennas I have tried. It seems to be the only one with decent amplifier. If the receiver has power option on the DAB RF input, switch it off. Then connect the antenna power wire to the radio ignition switched feed.
