Reversing live wire

Hi

Can anyone tell me which wire is live to my reversing lights. I'm trying to fit parking sensors but can't seem to get a live off of the 4 wires that travel to the reversing bulb.

Appreciated.

you will have to turn ing on and put in reverse then try for live dont take afence at that please

None taken, I did that but no wire comes up as live despite the reversing lamps lighting up. There is a block connector with 1, 1 and 2 wires going into 3 of the 4 connections, tried themto no avail.

the wire that going to center of reverse bulb should be live you are looking for

has it got tow bar on it? you could test the socket and trace it from there or connect it to there!!!

is there a yellow wire in there? reverse live is yellow for wiring 12s sockets may be the same on the r/r?

see told you it was easier, if yer still stuck in the mornin i'll see how mines wired up!

yes gav,but with yours being a posh version will it be wired the same as us ordinary mortals p38s.:doh:

no mate, the wires are gold plated but the function of the reversing chandelier is the same as your reversing erm, light.

dont confuse it with the wire for the butlers bell tho!!! they run side by side!

No yellow wires, all white, does have a tow bar but not sure wiring it to it would help as I want live only when reverse is engaged.

if you have a 12s socket (grey) you can come off the yellow wire off that it only provides live to reverse light when reverse is selected

BTW, what is a 12s socket?

black box on tow hitch

the 12s is the grey socket 12n is the black one, you'll only get a reverse live from the grey one as i mentioned earlier in the thread
