My son has a 2002 Discovery TD5 and wants to replace the original radio cassette with a radio that has an ipod connector. Radio is out and I have attached a photo of the wiring. It doesn't look like an easy job, could Halfords fit a replacement unit and any ideas on best replacement? Thanks.

Easy if u know how, and even easer now as there's patch leads available to connect most new head units to existing wiring harnesses.
What head unit to get is a personal choice so price, looks, function facilities and outputs, display illumination colour and if the unit has the facility to interface with the D2s system as some don't.
If you are going to find its a problem then Halfords say the will fit don't they...

Halfords are not a great ICE installer, there are a few forums for ICE but they are usually the real enthusiasts.

There are also a few good companies a chap called Dave DND is pretty good for leads and the like, I can recommend him.

Hi I bought a pioneer deh-x85000dab in Halfords and had it fitted, they done a decent job, I got all the leads so the steering stalk still works etc, it has dab, Bluetooth (you can stream music from your iPhone) and loads of connections and sounds brilliant. Best of all it was half price!!
