I tried a search but I am rubbish at it and could not find any relevant threads.
The speakers on the top of my BASS unit in the boot are both broken with the plastic/sponge material that joins the cone to the speaker frame all disintegrated.
Are there "plug compatible" replacements available for a reasonable cost?
Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance folks.

You can replace that sponge material quite easily, did it a while ago on mine.
So long as the actual cone isn't damaged and moves up and down freely, you'll be fine

Ooohhhh..... is there a how-to with words & pictures to assist the old and feeble-minded like me? ;)
There's lots of how-tos on YouTube.
Basically, get the speakers out and unplugged, take the top ring off and carefully clean the old glue and foam off stick the new one in place then refit the top ring once the foam has stuck to the cone or it will come unstuck

Darn. Thought I could swoop in like Batman and help a fellow out, but you beat me to it ;)

I got these

@kermit_rr how did you remove the speakers from the sub-woofer box? Mine won't come out.
I was hoping to remove them and repair them on a clean bench and then put them back, but I cannot get them out.

TIA

Dan.

Well, these won't come out at all without you completely removing the whole sub-woofer unit & CD multichanger and splitting the sub-woofer box.
The speakers are somehow fastened to a thick metal plate inside the box. Trying to prise the speaker out just result in a bent-plate.
Totally stuffed now as the wires have come off the speakers so they HAVE TO COME OUT to be reconnected.
Mine does NOT look like this at all.

To make matters worse, this sub-woofer is badged LR and has no similarity to the one in RAVE. :(
