Hmm, reckon a bit of filler and a touch up stick might just do it?

It would of been better if they had done it with ones that are the same age and not ones with years of a difference in safety devices and other equipment.

The disco would have come out the other side of a mid 90's Espace in a cloud of fibreglass dust, not that there are any mid 90's Espaces left to obliterate lol. I thought the same though, Besides the fatigue on the years of life the Disco would have suffered, the Espace is designed to be urban friendly and has technology on it's side. However, the Disco did crumble somewhat. I remember an article some years ago in LRO magazine, a classic R/R head on with an artic and the occupants walked away from the wreckage!

True but where i drive there are cars on the road of different ages that i could crash into:)

just a bit scary i thought to see how much both cars crumpled @ 40mph! I thought the disco woulndt have been touched.

I thought the disco woulndt have been touched.

I suppose that other than a fairly substantial chassis, the rest of a Disco is alluminium and mild steel, much the same as any other car. If they'd done a direct head on as opposed to a offset collision I'd be more confident in the Disco!

nope - i wudnt - but my son-in-law has one with my grandkids in it :(

I think it also shows - yu wouldnt wanna be in the back of anything with a 7.5ton lorry up ya jacksie.

It's obvious what needs to be done.
Ban 7½ ton lorries and Vauxhall Saffiras.

Then it can't happen.

It's like banning pistols to stop armed crime.
Yeah, right.

sh*t, we've got a zafira almost identical to that. Luckily enough, we never use the rear two seats anyway, we just have it because of the big boot and more importantly the height of the seats, which means we can get one of the children in and out easier. But I'll be telling the wife to never ever use the rear two seats.

(nigh on impossible to get them up anyway with all the crap piled on top of them)
