Removal of the hazard switch

Facelift 06 fr1 trying to remove my hazard switch to change the led ( not working) have taken out the cup holder to get to the back of the switch but the support strut is in the way. and I can't push it out is this the way to remove it.

The hazard switch is a challenge to remove. I seem to remember removing the switches either side, so I could get to the back of the hazard switch to push it out.
