jsut ahd a go to get the multi changer out from under the seat, and came in defeated ,how do you get it out ?

i un-done the 2 rear nuts, then noticed theres another on the side, and couldnt get to it, tried to get the side trim part of below the seat, and couldnt see how to ? took the 2 rear plastic plug things out, but the front end wouldnt budge, the 2 screws holding the front cover section of that storage bit, were very tight and need a perfect size screw driver (which typicaly i had every size but:rolleyes:)

just wondered if someone could help me out with exactly that i have to do

thanks :)

I removed my unit with out any problems I forget now if it was the unit first then the two brackets or the brackets and unit as one. Just move the seat the full extent in both directions and remove the plastic surround at the front and side that's it, and I fitted a new Pioneer unit in it's place that was just as easy. :)

are all multil changers the same connection and will work with the standard head unit ? mine doesnt work, not sure why yet, i read on here theres a fuse inside that , want to check that

No... the fuse is at the rear of the head unit and the supply is within the round multicore cable feeding the CD unit. Only Philips CD controller head units go with Philips multi CD palyer's

Pioneer Head unit goes with Pionner CD player etc etc, although there are some universal multiplayers but the functions are just the basic, no CD info displayed on the headunit display and they have there own wired remote control so very much a thing from the past U don't won't one. :D

ah ok thanks mate, so its a fuse at rear of head unit for the changer ? not took the head unit out yet, how do i do that exactly ?

just wanna get this changer working ideally so its all standard and working

OK cut a wire coat up in to four lengths around 3 or 4 inches and poke one of them in each of the four faceplate holes and all the way to release the clips, slide fingers into the cassett player mouth to get a grip and pull.... if it's the first time the head unit has been removed since it left the factory then it will need a PULL :D
