Remote locking

Alright fellas my 1997 disco is playing up, when I press the fob the indicators flash and it immobilises, but the doors ain't locking. If you listen carefully you can quietly hear the solenoid trying to work?? Any ideas welcome.

Have you tried locking with the key and unlocking with the fob?

Tried it mate still not working just a bit weird as the fob still works the alarm and immobiliser, but not the locking.

OK that means you will have to remove the drivers door card for a look at the actuator, it may be stuck, slightly out of adjustment or it's not receiving the 12v signal from the alarm ECU when the fob button is pressed or key is turned in the lock.

Update on this when sat in the truck if I push the door lock down I can hear a motorised kind of sound from the back of the glovebox? What's that about any ideas?

That will be activation of the security ecu, alarm & central locking.
