L322 No sound when locking

When locking the car with the key fob the doors all lock and indicators flash but no sound to tell me the alarm is armed. My old p38 always used to make a noise is this natural

Ours does the same, think it’s a setting in the brain, can be changed if you want.

Any idea how ?

I am pretty sure we can change ours with the IID Gap diagnostic.

Don’t know what year you have, or if any diagnostic tool.

2008 , I don't have a diagnostic tool I was hoping there was some sort of setting menu somewhere

No in car setting changeable as far as I know. A dealer could do it but you would probably have to sit down at the cost. Any local Indy may have diagnostics to do it a bit cheaper.

There maybe other diagnostics available cheaper that would do it but I have no knowledge of any others.
It’s always a good idea to invest in diagnostic anyway.
