Freelander 1 Remote Key Fob Required

Can anyone advise where i can buy a remote central locking key fob for a Freelander 1?
I have spoken to a local auto electrician. They can not supply the fob but are able to programme it to the vehicle for £25.00.

Ebay is best bet. Just match number on yours to the new one, sommat like TX 3 you'd need to check. Programming requires all fobs for the car.

I don't have the original fobs. The previous owner had lost them. I only have the key which I use to manually lock/unlock the doors. Are you saying programming is not possible without a working fob?

No not at all, just saying all fobs to be programmed need to be done together.
My 2003 is marked 17TN, think all Freelander 1's are the same. Hope that helps.

Hi, I got a 2nd fob for my 2004 facelift TD4 from John Craddock p/no YWX101200 then had it programmed for a tenner a couple of years back.
I'm not sure what year/model you have but the one I got is still available from them. My original has got Lucas 3TXB on the case. It seems that the p/no I listed is for all models from chassis no. 1A000001 on wards so if you check your c/no & it's after that it should be the correct one according to the LR parts list.
