Lady and gents it’s been a little while since I’ve been on here but in the meantime my clutch has just started slipping on my 2005 defender, had her remapped 2k miles ago.. What clutch and flywheels do people recommend these days?

Mine is remapped and tuned as well and the Valeo clutch/DMF kit is still going strong after around 60K miles... i strongly descourage you against any solid flywheel thing cos i've had one once based on forum posts and had to pay again to replace it after a short time cos i was fed up with the vibrations and noise at motorway speeds... also the lack of torsional damping might have ill effects for the powertrain on a long run

Keep the DMF loosing it will ruin it.

I have a LOF extreme clutch ready to fit just waiting for mine to die. Looks quality and not seen anything negative + fully designed for landys

Afaik only clutch on the market that keeps the original pedal feel + retains the DMF. All the Clutchfix stuff are basically built off lorry clutch experience. You have to loose the DMF with them and gain about 50 - 80% increase in pedal weight.

Thank you lads, I think towing a lot and having a stage two storm tuning map has defo made my clutch die more quickly than expected
