Hi all,

Seem the place to be if need some info :)
very interesting site,

Anyone any ideas to the actual name of this ( time delay relay ref; starting when hot, or an ebay link would be very helpful)

I have just got myself a 1995 p38 TDI, and one of the problems I found, only having the car a day, is that when I'm on quarter of a tank of fuel, there is a loss of power, and then comes to an halt ,,, wait a couple of mins crank it over and over and off we go, well a mile or so then back to know power

Now I've been told this is quite normal because of the flout and lift pump in the tank? hmmmm seem a bit odd,

So a new lift pump is in order maybe, anyone with any ideas or had the same thing happen to them or any info would be very helpful many thanks for reading this and any help
Kind regards Mike

Cue someone who knows about rangies! Might be worth posting the question afresh in that section. I just know these symptoms are similar to when it's blocked on a defender, a vacuum forms in the tank as the fuel is used and then eases when it stops being used, just means the air going into the tank is going in slower than the fuel going out.

OK !

look at chassis just infront of the drivers side rear wheel. under all the crud yer should be able t see the fuel line from the tank, this then (on the disco) enteres and leaves a fuel sedimenter ( looks like a stubby fuel filter) if its the same place indo the hex bolts on the bottom and tw@ it till it seperates, then clean it out if its full o crap !
If not do a search for a RAVE cd download. this has lots o piccies and wurds that'll help sort yer out;)
