Just fitted a reconditioned VCU from Bell engineering and I cant believe the difference it makes . I ordered one with the bearings and these came already fitted it made the job so much easier and quicker. I just removed the VCU from the car and supported the props on axle stands and then took the weight of the new VCU on the trolley jack it took an hour to do. Thanks to Hippo for his write up of how to do the job

It gave me lots of good pointers and what to check etc. Thanks to Ken at Bell engineering their customer service is second to none and very helpful.

Hi bruno1926
Please could you tell me how much it cost,I take it you had it posted as I am thinking of doing mine that way.

£245 that included the recon VCU the 2 support bearings and postage . If you want one I would email Ken at Bell engineering as they do have a waiting list luckily enough I dont do a lot of miles in mine so I could wait a while.

Bell engineering email address is :- info@bellengineering .co.uk

Hi
bruno1926
That sounds a good deal to me I shall be seriously considering going down that line.
Thanks.

Its best to buy the VCU and bearings if possible as Ken had already fitted the bearings to the shafts so it was just a case of swapping the VCU over, it made it a lot easier to do . I cant sing the praises of Bell Engineering enough they made the entire process so easy from start to finish:):)
