Not done a search on this, but, is it worth starting a thread or having a section on good Landy garages/mechanics? I love mine and want to have his babies, (I obviously have not been given really bad news so far:eek:) but don't want to be accused of spamming, just want to pass on knowledge of someone I have found reliable and trustworthy:)

Sounds like an excelent idea to me, but yes I expect you'll get accused of spamming

I think it could include examples of really bad Landy garages too.

Sounds good, could do with a 'friends network' of garages that do decent jobs, not worried about the bad ones as that could lead to accusations of libel etc, theres no harm in recommending GOOD ones though :)

I would really like to find a shop i can trust to do my MOT etc without worrying about them rinsing the old girl up and down the road first of shagging the nuts of the engine for the emmissions crap etc.

I'm sure theres one in Hertfordshire somewhere.

you'r not far from me... his name is not Hughey is it?

i wonder if the MOD's could set it up like rated people.com where the garages are sorted out by the locality to the enquirer with 2 lists one for good and one for bad

For independent LR parts with very good advise I highly recommend Terry Johnson Land Rovers, near Ashley Heath, Ringwood, Hants/Dorset border tel. 01202 813172. I've been buying bits from him since I had my first landy SII about 20 years ago :nospamhere:
