Recip Trial Mud Terrain Remould Tyre

I really like my Amazon Muds, which are the same tread pattern as Insa Turbo Saharas. They're good off road and not bad on road and not too noisy. However, they're 255/65 and are too small with my 2" lift and I want to go to 265/75.
Unfortunately, they don't do Saharas in that size but I have come across Recip Trial Mud Terrain Remould Tyres.

Has anyone got them, are they any good?

have ye not thought about the insa special tracks? + tyres are cheaper at uptotheaxles.com

Yea, but I've heard that they're noisy on road and dodgy in the wet.
Do you think otherwise?

just odered a set for me 90 so dunt know yet, ask raz as a few of the trackie brigade use em, they must be gud on the road cos otherwise they'd all be locked up by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems they're not too good in the mud mate

They clog quickly and cant get rid of it (bit like the mudzilla's in that respect)

.......... the MAXI 3D's however are a different kettle of fish and near on unstoppable

........ but very noisey on the road

NOT personnal experience but experience of people i know before anyone asks

Can you get the Sahara's in 265/75/16?

I got the 265/75/16 special tracks.

They are great off road. Noisey as hell on road (to the point ya think you have a police helicopter following you everywhere) and not too hot in the wet. You just have to watch your speed when cornering.

Okay, I've got the 265/70R16 trial 4x4 m+s. I use it for landscaping. So it gets used on a lot of different surfaces.
On the motorway or a decent A-road it tops out at 80. There's a bit of tyre noise with the window down but it's hard to judge, what with the engine noise, transmission whine, rear door & seat rattle. In fact at any road speed the other noises drown out the tyres. They keep a straight enough line for a wide tyre.
On B-roads they handle as well as you'd expect for a mudder, don't lock up too much under braking and go through standing water like Moses.
Off the black, I've had it on gravel, fields (in just about every kind of weather) and up to it's axles in mud/**** and never had any problems. A lot of the time I was carrying a lot of weight or towing a trailer and it never let me down. Can't fault them.
The last land rover I had was an '89 90 TD on town & contries it was a lot quieter and a good bit quicker. But that was in '91'ish so it was a lot newer too. That's all i can really compare it to.
I also use a hilux with kumho muds on and the landy'll out perform it off road. But that could just be down to the vehicle.
I like 'em. Hope this helps.

ive just sold 235/70/16 amazon mts yesterday and gone to 265/75/16 insa special tracks. my oppinions are, the insas are 100 times noisier, they tend to kick the back end out on corners, and in the wet they skid on the slightest braking (my abs is fooked though) hard to keep a straight line (may just be me) and when your rolling or just before you come to a stop the whole car judders with the tread. BUT they look fookin great an they are great off road (so im told mine avnt seen mud yet) hope that helps trewy. also got a set of 4 deliverd from paddocks for £280

i,ll agree with the road noise but i aint had no other problems with handling,braking(wet or dry)or juddering with mine.what pressure are you running them at? i,m running mine at 30psi allround on my 110.

just in the wet i find they skid dead easy under braking, more so than the amazons the handling is probably me cos im used to bikes an sporty small cars probably an over eggsaturation, i find the juddering (more like a rumble)is at a very slight roll just before stopping or creeping at traffic, i checked them yesterday just after they got fitted an the garage had them at 45psi so i took it down to 35
