Rear wheelarch repair

Ahh.. Did this very job for a mate the other weekend. The one I did ran into the rear door shut as well. What I did was remove the rear wing to inner wing rubber seal to save it catching fire, cut out the rusty area , made a massive 16x8" plate that went from the middle of the arch right to the edge of the arch where the seal sits, I made the plate to overlap the cut-out section by about half an inch all the way around, cleaned up the bottom of the pillar and all of the edges that I wanted to weld to, then welded the plate from underneath and the pillar onto it from above, you can weld the outside edge of the pillar through the hole in it (just about!).
I then welded from the top all the way around so its a double seem and pretty strong!

Best of luck, probably took me 3-4 hours.

I've had to do the same and done it pretty much the same as above, seam welded a larger patch on from underneath, fertan, seam sealer, red oxide then tetra Shultz under seal underneath and paint on the top, make sure you do a proper job as its within 12" of the seatbelt anchorage its an MOT issue and of course you would also just like it to be safe.

If you find the outers have gone also for ready made panels this firm seems quite good:

Discovery 1 Parts - YRM Metal Solutions

Although no help to you with this particular panel.
