Well, with the snow comes stupid drivers, so I have pulled a few of them out over the Christmas break to help them get going again - damn this Christmas Spirit - lol

Anyway, when I first tried to tow someone, I couldn't find any place to attach the rope to the rear and no tow bar fitted, so as it was cold, turned the disco around, and hooked up to the tow points in my bull bar and towed them going backwards!

I have searched the forum, and can only come up with a few threads regarding this, as most have tow bars fitted, and the solution seems 'Jate rings' (new to me).

I have found a nice bolt hole in the chasis, and thought of fitting my front towing eye I have spare since fitting a bull bar, but that requires 2 holes - so do you just fit these Jate Rings through this hole, and use them to hook onto? Are they strong enough, or is there any other method?

Cheers

id rather tow on a jate ring than through bull bars towing point

any tips on which ones are better to buy or anything I need to look for when getting one?

There are two recovery loops on the rear chasis arms that you could use to pull someone

mmmm, never saw these on mine - are they just the standard loops that you get on the front and rear of cars - if so, mine could be missing, as had a good look about for them........

mug em off, not worth a rub!

i have 4 jate rings on my truck, the quickest and cheapest way of getting decent recovery points when you dont want to run a bullbar or a plough
